During late December 2025 and January 2026, Mars and Earth are on opposite sides of the Sun, blocking radio communications between them. Perseverance will resume sending raw images in late January. Watch video on Mars solar conjunction
NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter acquired this image using its high-resolution color camera. This camera is mounted in the helicopter's fuselage and pointed approximately 22 degrees below the horizon.
This image was acquired on April 20, 2022 (Sol 418 of the Perseverance rover mission) at the local mean solar time of 11:38:45. This was the date of Ingenuity's 27th flight.
