Mars Student Imaging Project: Teacher Training

Training Teachers

The ASU Mars Education program offers a series of online webinar training sessions for Mars Student Imaging Project (MSIP) team educators to learn about JMARS and how it can be used in MSIP activities. JMARS is the computer tool used to study Mars and to target the THEMIS camera.

These one-hour training sessions for teachers cover the use of JMARS from basic introductions, the usefulness of layers and how to maneuver in JMARS to more advanced concepts such as creating CSV files and shapes.

All participants will receive one Professional Development hour for participating in the training session. JMARS trainings are for registered MSIP participants.
