At an event celebrating the end of NASA’s Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) mission on Feb. 13, 2019, engineer Jennifer Trosper shared how working on the rovers Spirit and Opportunity taught her lessons for NASA’s next rover mission, Mars 2020. Trosper, who once served as a mission manager on MER, is the project system engineer on Mars 2020. She spoke in front of an image of Opportunity’s tracks on Mars and a rover model at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
