Mars Perseverance Name Plate Artwork

This is an image of artwork etched onto the titanium plate that is mounted on the lower section of the Mars Perseverance rover’s 7-foot robotic arm. The plate protects the cables and mechanisms of the arm. The name Perseverance was selected from among 28,000 entries in a nationwide Name the Rover student essay contest.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California built and manages operations of the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover for NASA.
