NASA Insignia Plate Artwork

This illustration depicts the metal plate that bears NASA’s iconic insignia, mounted like a bold blue badge on the right front panel of the Mars Perseverance rover. NASA has been exploring the Red Planet for over 50 years, with spacecraft that have flown by, orbited, landed and explored Mars.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California built and manages operations of the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover for NASA.
