Rover Evolution Plate Getting Ready for Mars

The photo was taken on March 16, 2020 in a cleanroom at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center during final preparation for launch. A planetary protection engineer is swabbing and cleaning the surface. This plate features illustrations of all the rovers (and the Mars Helicopter) that have landed on Mars.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California built and manages operations of the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover for NASA.
