The Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) took this image in October, 2002. This richly textured heart is a depression located in the Tharsis region, home to massive, ancient volcanoes on Mars. This heart, located on a lava flow, is about 485 m (1,591 ft) wide.
