The Imagine Mars Project titled Green Tech on the Red Planet and related Bye Bye Earth music video was presented at the JPL Tweet Up on June 6, 2011. This was the official release of the music video made by students from the Illinois Neighborhood Networks Consortium in partnership with the Imagine Mars Project.
Project background:
Students from housing communities in Chicago researched how green technology was being used in their city and then developed sustainable solutions to living on the planet Mars. The students then visualized their ideas using 3D architectural software. A small group of students from this project, on their own initiative, created a song that that tells the story of leaving Earth and moving to the planet Mars.
